79th Independence Day Celebration

Bhagat Singh once proclaimed, Freedom is the essence of human existence. It is the birthright of every man and woman. Freedom transcends the restraints of conservatism, offering a broader perspective on national matters. In a diverse nation like India, patriotism unites people of all castes, creeds, and religions. DPS Gaya celebrated Indias 79th Independence Day, marked by nationalistic fervour and patriotism. The event was honoured by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Ram Naresh Sharma, Chairman of the Magadh Educational Trust, Gaya; Guest of Honour DrM.S.Jamal, Principal of Magadh College of Education, Gaya; and the revered Principal of DPS Gaya. The unfurling of Indian Tricolour, followed by a soul-stirring rendition of our National Anthem, served as a poignant reminder of the unimaginable sacrifices made by our freedom fighters to liberate us from 200 years of British imperialism. Students, marching to the beat of drums, captivated the audience, rejuvenating the spirit of national pride and patriotism. The Inter-House March Past concluded with Chanakya House securing first place, Ashoka House coming in second, and Aryabhatta House taking the third position. Following this, all the distinguished guests were warmly welcomed with plant pots. Subsequently, honourable Principal Sir, in his address, paid obeisance to all the martyrs of our motherland who selflessly sacrificed their lives to liberate us from the British subjugation. He emphatically asserted the importance of unity in diversity, marked by inclusive development of all. He reiterated that India is an epitome of Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam and urged every individual to take pride in being Indian. A series of performances, each showcasing the talent and dedication of our students, captivated the audience. Resplendent patriotic group song and group dance invigorated the audience with a renewed sense of patriotism. Sublime speech and poetry, executed with remarkable finesse, provided an enthralling experience to the audience. The celebration drew to an end with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks.
